Stavromenos is a suburb of Rethymno. It’s about 11 Km from the old centre. During the winter there are supermarkets in the area and in the summer the bustling tourist shops and taverns make this village complete. Still it’s not a tourist village “pur sang” so to make friends with the locals is very well possible. Busses into town pass the village on a regular basis.

Gerolakos-Villas is a complex of traditional, stone and wood built villas located in Stavromenos, very close to Rethymno - the town that lies at the centre of the island and has one of the longest coastline in the whole Europe. The Villas are within walking distance from the beach (about 500m), super markets, shops, taverns and local transportation.

All villas have an area of about 60-70 sqm and are built in the same style, but each one has its own individual character and it is named after one of their beloved persons.

Villa Pheelia Named after the grandmother, is the smallest but also the cutest of the villas. Carefully decorated in a traditional Cretan manner, reveals its mesmerising beauty. It consists of: 1 bedroom, 1 living room, 2 penthouses (bedrooms), 2 verandas. Accommodates comfortably up to 6 persons.

Villa Stelios Named after the father who used to enjoy its excellent, refreshing and romantic view for endless hours. Spacious & functional it invites the guest to relax and loosen up. It consists of: 1 bedroom on the 2nd floor, 1 large veranda, 1 large living room and balcony. The villa accommodates comfortably up to 4 persons.

Villa Daskalos Named after the grandfather who was a teacher (= daskalos in Greek) and travel writer. This is the biggest villa, having a very spacious veranda for those who like to watch the moon at night and all those young and senior barbeque fans. It consists of: 1 bedroom, 1 penthouse (bedrooms), 1 living room, 1 large veranda and balcony. It accommodates comfortably up to 6 persons.
