Also Europe's most southern part with a great Mediterranean climate where the sun is shining all year round. No surprise that Crete is Greece's most popular vacation destination. Large in size, a great climate, beautiful beaches, authentic villages, picturesque harbours, rich culture en many archaeological sites. Crete has is all!

Camper Van
Enjoy all the island has to offer and travel around in a campervan. This is the way to see the entire island without rushing back to your apartment every day! Take your time to travel along the quiet and beautiful places of the southern coast. There you will find original Cretan hospitality.

Free camping
Feel free to go where you want to and to stay where you want to stay. Free camping is still allowed at most places. That makes your vacation a unique experience! All around the island you will also find campsites with special places for campers.

We advise you to take at least two weeks to tour around the island. Although you might not be travelling far each day you need to take your time on the mountain roads to take in the breath taking scenery. If you want a break from driving, take another week to relax in our apartment on a nice complex near Heraklion the capital of the island and close to the main airport.

The camper van is a German build Knauss, known for quality. Its base is a Fiat with a 2.8idTD petrol engine that easily takes you anywhere along steep mountain roads. With a length of 6 meters, it’s a midsize campervan, easy to handle but still lots of space. You just need a B(E) drivers license.

The motor home has no air co. When driving at low speed, an open window gives you enough of refreshing air. And standing still, an air co system only works at 220v and gives quite some noise. At least, Crete is often blessed with a cooling breeze that keeps temperatures pleasant. All around there are window to be opened as well as two top-windows.
