Jeep Safari

Joining a Satellite jeep safari is the best way to discover the hinterland of Crete. Where no coach comes, where you avoid going with a normal car, there is Crete! A four wheel jeep shows you the Cretans in their homeland. Satellite has designed its own jeep safari and we made it adventurous. We lead you on normal tarmac roads but also on dirt roads where the sand dust will blow up.

We drive you through the olive groves, the fertile plains, over ancient bridges and to villages where the streets are so narrow that not even 2 donkeys can pass each other. Our maximum is 5 jeeps which contribute to the atmosphere among the participators. A guide will be in the 1st jeep and the other 4 can be driven by a guest which is a solid driver and feels the responsibility for the other 3 passengers. Of course the jeeps we use for the safari are safe, have a full insurance for both the car as well for the passengers.

On the route are stops at places of interest and your guide will tell you the stories. The safaris are day trips, we start in the morning with a pick up at your hotel and at around 18.00 hours we bring you back. Please note that we drive mainly in the area of our base which is the prefecture of Rethymno. On request we can design safaris in other parts of Crete, we even have the possibility to drive you all around Crete, with hotels included.
